About Me

Describe Yourself:I am the author of Ghost to Coast, a paranormal handbook available at all major online bookstores, and Ghost to Coast Tours and Haunted Places, the second volume in the series, which came out this year and is available on Amazon and Lulu. I am working on a new book for The History Press which will be called Ghosts of Marietta and should be out in time for Halloween! I also have a few other small books out, an origin of Christmas traditions and a kids' craft book that is brand new. They are available at Lulu. I'm middle-aged, married to a younger man, with grown children from an earlier marriage (a son and a daughter in their 20's.) I am a freelance writer, an online researcher, and a paralegal. The things I love most besides my family, husband, and friends are books (first and foremost,) music, travel, learning new stuff, and movies.

Elizabeth O., Nov 5, 2009, 6:44PM ESTthanks~it was sooo cool!!! No I didn't have a camera. I'm in upstate New York. I've waited so long for this to happen. We'll see what happens next. We are closed for the season and I'll be moving my office in there shortly for the winter, like last year.

Elizabeth O., Nov 5, 2009, 6:29PM ESTHi Rhetta ~ Just wanted to tell you that after three years of waiting...I finally "saw" someone in the Revolutionary House museum that I work in last night ~ I've been touched, I had things moved, I've heard noises and smelled scents...but finally I saw something...I'm so happy!!!!

Laura Puckett, Aug 19, 2009, 10:18AM EDTGot the pictures from the Venetian posted. There are less of them, but they are more stunning. Vegas really is a beautiful sight. No expense spared and it is not the "in your face" sleaze you often hear it characterized as. You never have to go into a casino and there are not hookers pandering everywhere. I didn't see any and we spent a day and and evening and until late on the strip. I'm sure there are places in town that I wouldn't want to go. There are places in Columbia, Atlanta and any other town you want to mention that I wouldn't want to go. Vegas is a spectacle. If you consider that we only visited 5 of the hotels in those 2 days we didn't even scratch the surface. They took me to the "most' ones. Their favorites. We also saw the outside of Caesar's Palace, Treasure Island, the volcano at the Mirage, yes a volcano with fire and water and wow. We saw New York New York and Paris from across the street and more that I can't even think of. It's a spectacle like at the Coliseum for Caesar.

Laura Puckett, Aug 18, 2009, 7:22PM EDTAlso check out What Happens in Vegas May Not Stay in Vegas, it has several of the resorts and some fun pix when you have time. There is one of Mack Jr. that is priceless.
